Custard Apple

Custard Apple, also called bullock’s heart or bull’s heart. Custard Apple’s botanical name is ‘Annona Squamos’.  Custard Apple has a peculiar aroma; it is very sweet in taste.  All the parts of this plant, apart from its culinary uses, have great medicinal values.

Medicinal Uses

  • The unripe fruit has been used to assist against diarrhea and dysentery.
  • The leaves are believed to have healing properties and have been used against tumors and cancers.
  • The fruit of the plant serves as an expectorant, stimulant, coolant, and is useful in treating anemia.
