Cuddalore

Cuddalore is one of a district of Tamil Nadu state.  It is bounded on the north by Viluppuram District, on the east by the Bay of Bengal, on the south by Nagapattinam District, and on the west by Perambalur District.

Thiruppadirippuliyur

Cuddalore is well-known for its temples. The most famous of these is the temple of Shiva, one of the three principal deities of Hinduism. The incarnation of Shiva at Cuddalore is called Padaleeshwarar. The temple itself is located in Thiruppadirippuliyur.

Nadunattu Tirupathis

Cuddalore has famous Vaishnavite temples in and around the town. Tiruvaheendirapuram, the Sacred Abode of Lord Devanatha, is one of the ancient Vaishnavite temples and also one of the 108 Vaishnavite shrines.  Nadunattu Tirupathis a famous two Vaishnavite temples available nearby Cuddalore.  It is situated 7 km west of Tirupapuliyur (Cuddalore New Town) Railway Station. Srimushnam is located 31 km from Chidambaram (Cuddalore). Srimushnam is the famous Vaishnava temple of Bhuvaraha.

Silver Beach

Silver Beach is a beach on the southeast coast of India. It is located 2 km from downtown Cuddalore, the headquarters of Cuddalore district in the state of Tamil Nadu. Silver Beach, however, is untouched by the busy life of the city. It is the second longest beach on the Coromandel Coast and one of the longest beaches in Asia.

To the south of the beach the South Cuddalore Bay area appears as if it is a separate island. The backwater separating the main beach from the island-like structure is a safe place for water sports. Boats are available to rent.
