Pondicherry popularly known as Puducherry, is a Union Territory of India. Puducherry consists of four noncontiguous regions: Puducherry, Karaikal, Yanam and Mahe. Puducherry & Karaikal is situated in tamilnadu, Mahe is situated in Kerala, Yanam is situated in Andrapradesh. Pondicherry still retains much evidence of its history as a French colony. The design of the city was based on the grid pattern and features neat sectors and perpendicular streets. The entire town is divided into two sections, the French Quarter (‘Ville Blanche’ or ‘White town’) and the Indian quarter (‘Ville Noire’ or ‘Black Town’).

There are 4 popular four beaches available in Puducherry, which are Promenade Beach, Paradise Beach, Auroville Beach and Serinity Beach.

Temples
Thirukaameeswarar Temple is one of the ancient, beautiful, and huge temples that are located in a beautiful rural town called “Villianur. “Sri Manakula Vinayagar Temple” located within the Puducherry town. Sri Panchavatee anjeneyar temple is situated in the entrance of pondicherry.
