Tirupathi & Talakona water falls
We enjoyed our Tirupathi trip this time, because this time we visited to Talakona Water falls near to the famous temple town tirupathi, tirupathi is famous for the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara located in the Chittoor district in the South eastern part of Andhra Pradesh, India. Tirupati town itself has several temples. Tirupathi situated at a distance of around 247 kms from the Garden city of Bangalore and around 120 km from Chennai and around 70 km from Chitoor.
Talakona Water Falls – Ideal Place for Relaxing
Talakona water falls situated around 60 km from Tirupathi. Talakona falls also known as Sri Venkateshwara Park, talakona fall from 270 feet high. Talakona falls situated little bit inside the jungle; a long and trekking route will end at the talakona falls.
Attractions in this Water Falls
This is a very picturesque spot; this falls is combined for both trekking and good place to take bath.
Lord Siddeswara Swamy Temple: An old Siva temple is situated on the way to this falls.
Bio-Sphere Reserve: Talakona declared as a Bio-Sphere Forest as this forest contains variety of Plants, Butterflies etc.
Fun & Adventure Activities: CBET-Community Based Eco-tourism Project running resorts and Canopy walk. They also organize various trekking programs.
Things to remember
- Book you accommodation prior in advance because CBET Resorts & AP tourism hotels will be available in this falls, weekends is bit difficult to get an accommodation here.
- There is no fuel station available near by this falls, fill your tank full before move to this hill.
- Monkeys will be available; please don’t carry eatables while walking to this falls. Monkeys will attack if we hold any eatables.
- Old people try to avoid reaching this falls, because an half an hour trekking will be needed to reach this falls.
- Book your food (veg or non veg) before move to this falls (CBET will take food order while you enter in to this falls) because there is no other hotels available near by this falls. CBET provide good food at low price.
Specialty in Tirupathi
Tirupathi is famous for its red wooden toys, copper and brass idols.
