Sri Trisulanathar

Sri Tirupurasundari Samedha  Trisulanathar Shiva Temple situated in Trisulam, Chennai is 1600 years old temple situated at Trisulam, Chennai near to chennai airport.

The idols in this temple here is unique. While performing Arathi, the priests explain the uniqueness.  Temple is small but very neatly maintained.

How to Reach

Train Route – Beach to Tambaram trains will ply via Trisulam; get down @ Trisulam station. This temple is situated just 2.5 kilometers from Trisulam station.  Auto rickshaw is the only transport available here to reach this temple.

Bus Route – All Tambaram bus will ply via Trisulam; get down @ Trisulam bus stop. Auto rickshaw is the only transport available here to reach this temple.

By Road – Road will be available to reach the top of the hill, road is little bad but manageable to reach. By Car/two Wheeler any one can easily reach this temple.

Reach Trisulam (airport) bus stop, after crossing Trisulam bus stop take left, cross the railway level cross, take right and go straight, then take left and go straight, find a water tank on the left side, from here road will diverted in to V shape, take the left road, go straight and find a temple arch on the right hand side.

Things to remember

  • Best time to visit this temple is before 5.30 PM.
  • Roads are small and narrow, drive carefully.
  • If you are driving over your own vehicle, make sure you have enough petrol/diesel in your vehicle. There aren’t any petrol bunks available in this area.  Petrol bunk will be available near the airport.
