Sri Vedantha Eswar

Sri Vedantha Eswar & Sri Karivardha Raja Perumal temple is situated at vallam village near Chengalpet.  Vallam village is around 2 kilometers from Chengalpet, on the way to Thirukalukundram.

How to Reach

Bus Route – Chengalpattu is well connected from the entire place.  From Chengalpattu catch Thirukalukundram bus and get down @ Vallam.  Near Vijay Tiles shop we can find Temple identification board (Pallavar Kudaivarai koil).  One can easily reach temple by walk from this board.  Better way is arrange an auto to reach this temple.

By Road – Reach Chengalpattu and take Thirukalukundram road from Chengalpattu bus stand, just 2 kilometer drive find the Temple identification board (Pallavar Kudaivarai koil) on the left side near Vijay tiles shop, one has to take left on the narrow road adjacent to this board and go further about 2 minutes drive inside to reach this temple.

By Train – Chengalpattu is well connected from the entire place.  Getdown @ Chengalpattu railway station, from Chengalpattu catch Thirukalukundram bus and get down @ Vallam.  Near Vijay Tiles shop we can find Temple identification board (Pallavar Kudaivarai koil).  One can easily reach temple by walk from this board.  Better way is arrange an auto to reach this temple.

Things to remember

  • Temple identification board is not visible properly; watch carefully to find the identification board on the left side.
  • Early morning or evening is the best time to visit this temple because around 25 – 30 steps to climb.  Also morning or evening time we can enjoy a pleasant breeze and scenery from the top of this temple.
